Hello

My brother just got a new gaming desktop, HP OMEN 875-1685nd. It was very expensive (€3000).

When gaming, we noticed that the fan sometimes kicks it up a notch and gets really loud. Like annoyingly loud, to the extent that you have to increase your headset volume. It doesn't sound broken, just the loudest fan sound I've ever heard.

Is this normal, and what could I do about it?

Thanks!

If so, I suggest that you contact the seller for help.  I have my computer sitting on a table next to me at ear level.  It has 3 - 120 mm and 3 - 140mm fans and I can hardly hear them; even while gaming.

Thanks!
