OMEN 30L Desktop - GT13-0380t CTO
Microsoft Windows 11

 Hi -

I have a relatively new Omen 30L. My processor consistently hits 90+ Celsius under load. I have not messed with anything. The system will then crash and reboot after several minutes (assuming this is a failsafe so nothing gets damaged.

I am playing a Total War game which I reduced to Medium graphic settings and it still overheats. Not sure what is going on but I do not think this should be happening. Fans are noisy but I do not mind that as long as the temps are safe.

Hi -

Setting the maximum processor percentage to 98% really helped.

I would say I think that it is a bit slower now though. Temp stays around 80-90 Celsius which is much better.

Should I also do step 2 or is it a one or the other solution?

You're welcome !

(1) Please create Windows system <restore point>

(2) Run several tests. Play games and monitor temperatures

(3) Continue with step 2 " Enable Ultimate Performance Plan in Windows 11 "

(4) Reboot

(5) Please create Windows system <restore point>

Still testing. Definitely a little bit slower but the temps seem to be below 90 on ultra settings for some stuff. Can still hear it rev up a bit. Fans quieter for the most part too.

Thanks for the help. Will post again if anything changes.
