HP Omen 30L with i9 10900K and liquid cooling

Hi yall,

A retailer in my country has a good deal on an HP Omen with an RTX 3080 and and an i9 10900K, i'm still rocking a GTX 1060 3gb and wanted to upgrade as soon as the new NVidia GPUs came out but haven't been able to get my hands on one for normal retail price.

I was about to pull the trigger yesterday, unfortunately i found some posts on the HP forum and videos on youtube pointing out how the case and cooling solution on the 30Ls is insufficient for the 10th gen i9 resulting in temperatures around the high 90°, core throttling and a very loud fan.

The model i'm looking @ is the GT13-0897NZ and according to HPs official website here: https://www8.hp.com/h20195/v2/GetPDF.aspx/c06957463.pdf this specific model uses liquid cooling.

Now, since im not a big expert i wanted to know if this is only a gimmick or if it would actually help the cooling situation and lower the noise, if i spend the amount of money HP is asking for that rig i expect it to run flawlessly, im no tinkerer, i do not oc my GPU or CPU but i want to run it at base stats.

Unfortunately I have to be the bad news bearer, with the i9 CPUs that little 12mm AIO can't keep up with the high temperatures and the CPU will thermal throttle even at gaming, let alone CPU intensive tasks like video rendering. 

So really the only solution is to migrate the components to a better case and use 240mm AIO or better, and keep the temps in control. I have two of these 30L Omen's and the other one is with 10600K, there is no drama there since its running a lot cooler with far less cores and threads.
