HP Omen 870-124 upgrade

HP OMEN 870-124
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello, I am wondering if I can upgrade the motherboard and the CPU on an HP OMEN 870-124 (i7 8700k, ASUS Prime Z370-P and a new chassi)?  And does I need to buy a need PSU? Does the stock one have all the cables which are needed?

/Emil

@EmilSwe, welcome to the forum.

I understand that you want to know if your power supply unit (PSU) will work with your new setup.  It depends on the video card that you use and if it requires a 6-pin and/or 8-pin supplemental power connectors.  You can check this by looking at the cables.
