HP Omen 870-224
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Here is my system

HP 870-224

Version 10.0.18362 Build 18362

I've had it over a year and I finally plan to update the computer. I am getting two new ram cards and looking at adding a 2070 GPU. I am also putting the I7 7700 (non-K) into the system,

I have searched and searched but cannot find a solid answer. I have a 1 TB Hardrive and I want to add a 1 TB SSD. Or possibly replace the hard drive and have two SSD's.

My question is where would the second SSD plug into?

I see the hard drive is plugged into a BLUE port on the motherboard. To the left is an open Tan port and then another BLUE port with something plugged into it. Would the second SSD plug into the empty TAN port that is between the two BLUE ports? Thank you for your help.

@TCoop88,

The simple answer is "yes", as the tan header is for an additional SATA device/hard drive.

You will need an adapter 2.5 to 3.5 and a data cable.   I use this adapter, as it allows 2 x 2.5 into a 3.5 bay.
