i had a problem with something i downloaded and i called for support to have some programs uninstalled from my computer ever since then my HP Omen Control has had issues i called for support again and they suggested a system recovery my HP Omen Control worked for a day after that and now it won't work any help would be greatly appreciated! by won't work i mean its on my computer but it won't open for some reason when i click on it 😞 i miss being able to change my lights its depressing

It helps to include the full model/product number when asking for help, so we can better help you.

 

Im taking a guess that the day after your OS factory recovery, Windows updated and then you had this issue again?

It would help to know what version of Windows was on at the time of recovery, and what you have now.

 

Typing Winver in the Search Bar (Cortana) will give you the current status.

I need the Full Product number of the Omen Desktop, not the operating system.

 

Go to the Search bar and type HP Support Assistant and hit Enter.

The product number will be in that.

OK, and my other question in my first post, can you answer that too please?

Did it update to version 1803 when the issue started?

tbh i don't understand the "time of recovery" part if you are talking about what version of windows the recovery is from then it is windows 7 desktop besides mine the only other computer in my house is a laptop that has windows 8

What the other computers in your house are is of no concern.

Your Omen came with Windows 10, not 7.

 

In my  first post, I said...

Type  Winver in the Search Bar (Cortana) and it will give you the current status.

Do it like this....

Hit the Enter key and a window will open like this...

The status in this window says its version 1803. Is that what you have?
