HP Omen 880-160se

I'm going to to install a new SSD into my HP OMEN 880-160se and have my old hard drive for storage. If I were to do a clean install of Windows 10 onto my SSD, what would happen when I boot from my SSD and have both drives plugged in. Will I get a completely wiped desktop like the day I took it out of the box, or would my wallpaper/everything be there.

I think you are mis-understanding.

A Clean install means  everying will be brand new again and you will have to start all over on Accounts also.

You are not running the Windows install on the HDD, but the new install on the SSD.

And... the Windows account on the Old HDD should be removed to prevent problems with the New install.

The best thing to do is move what ever data you need to on an external drive (or the SSD if it has room), then wipe the HDD and use it for a new storage drive. then you can move the data files back to the old HDD. Of it there is room, create a new partition on the old HDD and move data files over to it, then wipe the OS.

There are different work arounds to do the same thing.

Are you installing a new M.2 SSD? You will want to disconnect the HDD first, then do the Clean Install of Windows 10 onto the SSD.

You will have a wiped clean installation. So what ever you had on the other drive, will not be on the new installation.

Is that what you are asking?

So once I have done a clean installation on my M.2 SSD of Windows 10, will I be able to access the files on my old hard drive if I have both the SSD and the old HDD plugged in? What happens to the other accounts on my computer? I have another person that uses this computer right now, will there desktop account be gone? By accounts I mean that login page that you see when you start up your computer and there are options to log into other accounts.
