Hello Omen Users, I have bought an Omen desktop a few days ago and I have been experiencing start-up and gaming hub problems since a few days. I have been backtracking of what I have been doing, hardware & software wise, and I have finally found the culprit who causes the non-start-up, bitlocker requests, gaming hub not starting or working.
Problem: HP delivers the Omen with a Microsoft Protection package and within this Microsoft protection package, called Windows Security, there is a feature set called Device Security. Within this feature set, when you go to settings, there are 2 features named "Memory Integrity" and "Memory Access Protection". My recommendation: DO NOT TURN ON THESE FEATURES ! These features create havoc and cause all sorts of start-up and apps problems. I have turned them off and my new Omen works like a charm 😉
In Short: If you have Omen desktop start-up problems and Gaming Hub problems? Stop the Microsoft Features Memory Integrity and Memory Access Protection in the Microsoft Security application. These 2 features are in the Device Security Folder, when you click on "go to settings".
Happy Gaming and Working 😉
