HP Omen team need help with new 880-160se desktop

HP Recommended

I received my brand new system custom ordered with the following here.

750 W Platinum efficiency power supply
WLAN RT 8822 ac 2x2 +BT 4.2LE WW
NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 1080Ti 11G
Office Trial
No Optane
BU ICTO UMA Z370
8th Generation Intel® Core™ i7-8700K
Windows 10 Home
McAfee Livesafe (30 day)
HP USB Wired Keyboard with volume control
32 GB memory
512 SSD + 2 TB HDD storage
No ODD Option
Black Interior Paint; Side Window; External 3.5" Bay; Liquid Cooling Solution (95w Processor)

I updated the PC with latest drivers through HP support assist and latest bios. My video card is only running at PCIe X8 instead of X16. I am not sure what is going on? I need to know ASAP if its operating as intended or I have a defective PC on my hands. I will be including a picture.

I also noticed spec wise this seems to be a modded 1080 Ti with LOWER specs compared to the reference Founders Edition. What is up with that HP? Could be the reason why its running at X8 instead of X16? Second picture is a picture of the REAL Ti in gpuz reference founders edition. Note the differences in Pixel Fillrate and Texture Fillrate.

Furthermore regarding the card running at X8 instead of X16. I poked around in Aida64 Extreme and found the following pictures included. aida1.JPGaida2.JPG

For got to add another pic with Nvidia in about system showing as X8 Gen 3 as well instead of X16. Also providing a picture of system every thing looks nice and snug.

CPUz is also showing link width at X8 instead of X16.

Good call - and indeed spooky!

Reach either HP Support (assuming you are covered) or supplier you purchased it from and clarify with them in the first place.

Hey, just wondering because we have almost identical specs except for the RAM (I have 16) and I bought my computer yesterday, was anything wrong? Also how was the support?
