Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I'm making this on behalf of my father who just purchased this HP Pavilion 690-0034 desktop which states it should have the bare minimum to run Oculus rift. Bestbuy user reviews also state it works with the OR. Currently it's not defecting any HDMI port despite there bring only one port on the tower. He's tried another working HDMI cord as well and verified all connections are tight but the Oculus still isn't seeing it. The Amd rx580 is also fully updated. He's reached out to Oculus support but they are taking awhile to respond. Any other suggestions or tips? Thank you!

@Jusdrewit, welcome to the forum.

Here are the system requirements for the Oculus Rift:  https://support.oculus.com/170128916778795/

Here is the Product Specifications page for the computer.  If you look at the section titled "I/O ports / Back I/O ports, it states that there is a HDMI port.  However, it does not state the version.  In the specifications for the Rift it specifically states HDMI 1.3.  You can ask Oculus' Tech Support if this could be the problem.
