Victus by HP 15L Gaming Desktop PC TG02-0000a RCTO Base Model
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I've been having an issue with increasing my ram speed, all the manuals and descriptions say that this desktop can facilitate speeds of up to 3200MHz but in my task manager it's only reaching 2133MHz. I went into my systems bios to see if there was any way to adjust it there but it seems that it is locked or there is no apparent option to change it. I would appreciate any helps on this. For context my system is the Victus 15L with a AMD Ryzen 5 5600g, GTX 1660 Super, and the ram I upgraded to is "Vengeance LPX 2x8gb - 16gb DDR4 3600MHz".

Welcome to the HP support community.

I understand that you are trying to change the RAM speed, I am glad to assist you.

There is no option to change the RAM speed.

However, you can increase the "Virtual Memory" to increase the system performance.

  1. Press Windows key + I to open the Settings app.
  2. Head to System > About.
  3. Select Advanced system settings.
  4. Under Performance, select Settings.
  5. Open the Advanced tab. Under Virtual memory, select Change. Here are your Virtual Memory options.
  6. If you want to set custom virtual memory settings, you'll have to uncheck the box to Automatically manage paging file size for all drives. Once you clear the check box, the Virtual Memory options below will become accessible. Select Custom Size, then input your desired virtual memory size and select OK.

Keep me posted.

If this helps, please mark the public post as an accepted solution so that it benefits several others.

Cheers.
