Hello!
I have had the HP omen 880 119na for around a year now and Ive started to notice a fan in the PC making more and more noise.
I have noticed it is the water cooler connected to the CPU. The fan connected to the Water cooler will ramp up whenever I'm using the device every 10 minutes or so; it is more obvious when I am gaming or have multiple applications open.
The RPM will range from 580 and will repeatedly increase to 1300RPM every 10 minutes or so.
I have tried to access the fan curve for this however when I look into the Bios the only tab associated with CPU fan speed is a 'thermal' tab which just shows me the RPM, I am unable to manually change the fan curve.
The motherboard is: HP 84F
The Bios version Is: AMI F1.0 dated 02/05/2018
I am confused as to what I should try next. I have tried the 'hp support' diagnostics and It says I have no updates needed so I don't know if I need to update the bios or not,
Any help would be greatly appreciated
kind regards
K

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue:
- Let's try BIOS Update: Follow steps from the link: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c00007682
- And, also refer to the article: HP Desktop PCs - Reducing Heat Inside the Computer to Prevent Overheating

I have updated my bios. I was originally faced with a 'cpu has been changed' warning alongside 'ftnp nv corrupted' and now I cannot get into my desktop as my windows is not allowing my pin to be entered. It also won't let me use my password to log in. I am completely lost on the matter and desperately need assistance
Kind regards
Kevin
