Unfortuneately i had to return my 2 week old PC. One morning i went to turn it on and nothing would show on the monitor. Eventually it would be stuck at the OMEN logo with a black screen behind it. no loading signals, no error messages. It would just stay at the screen. Upon calling customer service, we tried some solutions, and they came to the conclusion that i should return it and exchange it for a new PC. Anyone have any thoughts on this? Any advice?

Not really, but as you still (assumingly) were below 30-days grace period where you can exercise the option to return & exchange - what's wrong with that? Just wait for you new shiny-shiny to arrive.

dont get me wrong, im not salty or angry. was just seeing if anyone else had this happen, after all, theyre expensive and complex machines. i didnt do anything that could have caused it in my eyes, which is why i was wondering.

I get all that.

The point is: new unit cannot fail like that in the first weeks of  ownership. If you and - more importantly - HP Customer Service were not able to bring it back to life (assume some troubleshooting was exercised) then there's no time to waste but to arrange for a replacement.
