trying to find out if my mobo will support he ryzen 7 5800x3d, already have the 5800x installed.. is there a bio update for it?

Hi

 

HP validated two CPUs with initial BIOS https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/omen-40l-desktop-pc-gt21-0000a/2100716058/model/2100716070/docu... MB SSID 8949

 

You might need a BIOS update to add support for the newer SKU. Here is the latest BIOS update For this MB https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/swdetails/omen-by-hp-40l-gaming-desktop-pc-gt21-000... 

 

Knowing if the x3D SKU will work with your motherboard is above my pay grade🙃

 

I don't see any reference to adding additional CPU support in the "Fixes" section.
