@Jahzel,

It means you need to replace the hard drive ASAP.

There are options:

1) If the drive will function,  "cloning software" is an option. Clone, swap drives, and your done.

I am going to re-explain my comment "I would purchase 1T drive, either of these: Seagate or WD

Then I would get the free Seagate DIsk Wizard (cloning application). WD has the same program.

Then perform the clone process. After that, I would remove the old C drive, and install the new drive in it's place (using Sata0 leads)".  There are other programs, but the lengthy manual is step-by-step.

After opening the case, and removing the hard drive cage.

1) The power and data leads from the DVD drive can be temporarily used.

2) Use Disk Management, and format the new Drive 1. It will format at 931GB.

Read through the Disk Wizard manual.  Section 15, starting on pg 85.

3) Using the disk wizard, the cloning process is selected.

4) The process should create the new C of 921GB and a D of about 10GB. It will create an exact copy of the old drive.

5) At the end of the process you reboot. Wait until the desktop appears and then shutdown.

Now:

Remove the cabling from the new drive. Attach the cabling from the original drive to the new drive.  Now, power up. The system should boot, if you did it correctly. Then power down again, and re-connect the DVD drive cables.

This system is feedback driven thru Solution and Kudo flags. It's the only means of knowing if you have been served. Please click Accept as Solution, if your problem is solved. To say THANK YOU, press the "thumbs up symbol" to render a KUDO. You can render both Solution and KUDO..
