- How many Watts do I have to play with for a new GPU?

Is there an App that can give me a real time measurement of what kind of draw each component is pulling on my power supply? I have upgraded the SDD to a Samsung 980 and Corsair Ram 3200Mhz (16Gb). I've disconnected the CD from the Motherboard. I just don't know how much Wattage I have to play with for a new GPU, specifically during those big spikes a AAA game will have. I've seen that there is an upgrade to a 500 Watt (I think it was 500), but if I can put that money towards a better GPU...So, what is the Watts on a stock 900-0073w being used or has left over and is there an App that can show me where I am now with the upgrades?
Thanx Community.

Hi @Abbottj01
I can't find HP product number 900-0073w. Do you have an Omen X PC?
Some Omen X PCs ship with high wattage power supplies up to 1300 watts.
Check this HP Site to identify your specific HP product number.
I measure AC power draw using a (Kill a Watt) which is one of the many similar devices available at Amazon.

Hi @Abbottj01
Your PC may have a 400 watt HP power supply if this (690-0073w) is your product.
Only HP power supplies work with your case and MB. You might find a HP 500 watt PSU at eBay or Amazon.
Any 400 watt compatible graphics card, requiring one 6 pin or 8 pin connection to the PSU, will work provided it fits in your PC's case.
You would have to install a HP 500 watt PSU if you want a 500 watt compatible graphics card.
