So I bought this computer last year for 900 bucks. It being the HP Pavilion Invidia1050 3gb gaming desktop. Recently it just stopped turning on aka no power at all. I took it to my local computer shop. He ordered a new power supply which costs 400 bucks because it it propriety. He put the part on and low and behold the motherboard is dead. What is this, I have a Asus ROG from 2013 works just fine. Even my crappy Dell from 2007 turns on and runs just fine. These computers are lemons and I warn anyone who looks into them. Funny thing is it crapped out right after my warranty on it expired. I'm done with HP unless they admit they make these things cheaply to lure people in with the specs and then have them die after warranty so you have to buy all of these propriety parts to keep it running.

Well, first of all you got scammed on the power supply, you could have bought that one straight from HP or eBay and would have costed you a little over $100.
Same thing goes for the motherboard, check out the part number and grab one from eBay, it will be cheap.
