Omen by HP 880-109no
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I’m unable to start my Omen HP 880-109no. When I press the power button nothing happens. When i press it for 4-5 seconds, the light turns on and the fan starts spinning for about half a second until it shuts off again. Sometimes it won’t register at all and sometimes it goes on for multiple seconds. I am usually able to start it after trying for about thirty minutes. When it finally starts up I have no issues.Last time it was on I ran a BIOS update but since then I haven’t been able to start it up. Once it got so far that the omen logo appeared on my monitor and then it shuts off. This has been happening for weeks and has only gotten worse. The computer has never crashed and the issue is only with the startup. Please help.

@Antolonius , welcome to the Community.

There are several components that can cause these symptoms.  I am inclined to believe that you have a failed power supply unit (PSU).  It is the component that fails most in older computers.  I suggest that you test or have it tested to see if it working properly.
