HP Victus 16 model number 16-s1023dx/A1SV3UA#ABA
Microsoft Windows 11

I have searched HP and online forums about the Memory and SSD upgrade capabilities of the HP-Victus 16.1" Gaming Laptop - AMD Ryzen 7-8845HS - 16GB DDR5 Memory - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 - 512GB SSD - model 16-s1023dx/A1SV3UA#ABA.

I've read that this laptop's Memory can be upgraded to 32GB, and others say 64GB. I'm having the same results with the SSD upgrades. I found two answers to the question of what is the largest SSD card I can install on this laptop. Some say the SSD can be upgraded to 2TB only, while others say that the top space is 4TB. I want to upgrade both the SSD and Memory, but I don't know which of the answers is the correct one. I bought this laptop from Best Buy.

Unfortunately, HP only has the service manual for the previous model series available.

Maintenance and Service Guide Victus by HP 16.1 inch Gaming Laptop PCModel numbers: 16-s0xxx

Chapter 1 of the manual indicates that 2 x 16 GB of DDR5-5600 MHz memory is supported.

The Crucial memory/SSD report for your notebook indicates it will support 2 x 32 GB of DDR5-5600 memory, and they sell NVMe SSDs up to 4 TB.

1. In the search box, search for cmd and click Run as administrator.

This will open the command prompt.

2. Once command prompt is opened, type wmic memphysical get maxcapacityEx and press the enter key.

There, it will show the maximum RAM capacity your PC's motherboard can support.

The capacity is shown as Kilobytes, so you have to convert it to Gigabytes by dividing the number provided in the report by 1,048,576.

Regarding NVMe SSD capacity:  Theoretically, the sky's the limit as long as the drive is single sided, so it fits in the M.2 SSD slot.

Thank you for your response. I'll post the results after I get the laptop later today.
