Solved!

I can't switch to HDMI to play on my PlayStation when I plug it into the computer

Your machine is an HP 24-f0047c All-in-One Desktop PC, its specs

 

      https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c05947712

 

It ONLY has one HDMI Out port at its back. Your PlayStation  only has HDMI out port. Connecting 2 OUT ports together won't give you anything.

 

In short: You can't connect games consoles to your HP AIO to use its monitor.
