I'd like to upgrade my power supply

Omen 880-050
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

I own an HP Omen 880-050 and I'd like to upgrade the power supply from 500W to 650W-750W and I'd like to know what power supply units are compatible with my desktop.

Thank you.

Greetings,

Welcome to the forum.

I am not a HP employee.

Please refer to this HP site (Link) for detailed instructions on removing the PSU from your PC. You will select the following to get to your HP product line:

Select Desktops, Omen, 880-p000. to get to the Media Selection and Additional Resources guide.

Then look at "Service Procedures- Power Supply". You need Flash to watch the videos.

The PSU is mounted at the bottom of the chassis. Measure the PSU and any additional chassis head room you have to install a slightly longer PSU.

Shop for a PSU using the above HP PSU measurements.

Corsair, Seasonic, EVGA all make good power supplies. Get a modular PSU. Less cable clutter. Look at power supplies that have a passive function. The PSU fan only spins when temps rise in the unit.

Very quiet.

Regards
