Hello, I just bought the HP-Omen 224-870 Gaming Desktop with the Omen 25 Inch Display, and for some reason I can not figure out the issue with my Audio.
Basically, I have a Razer Kraken Pro, and I also have a double splitter. I plugged the Kraken Pro into the splliter, and put the Red jack into the microphone jack, and the green jack into the jack with the headphone icon. The audio works, but not the microphone. I tested this on another computer, and the headset worked.
Please tell me what the issue is so that I can be able to use my microphone and audio at the same time.

Hello @Recension
Ill try to help if I can.
Is the microphone recognized in the Volume Mixer?
Make sure the plugs are in all the way, then...
Right click on the volume icon and choose Recording Devices.
If the Microphone is not present, right click on an empty space in the window and enable Show Disabled Devices. Also enable Show Disconnected Devices.
If the microphone now shows, set it as Default.
If no joy, go to the Device Manager.
Go to Sound, Video and Game Controllers.
Uninstall the Audio Device and reboot the computer.

Well, Im not sure whats happening. Sounds like maybe a grounding issue. Have you wiggled the plugs on that splitter or tried pulling them back a little?
Im not a Krakken user but I did read that their splitters are known for issues.

About all I can offer at this point is to try a different mic (if you have one) to test the port on the tower.
