Changing Windows Local Account to Administrator

Go to Accounts:
- Click on Accounts and then Family & other users.
Change Account Type:
- Under Other users, find the account you want to change.
- Click on the account name and then click Change account type.
- In the Account type dropdown menu, select Administrator and click OK.
Fixing Slow Computer Problems
Check for Malware:
- Run a full scan using Windows Defender or any other antivirus software you have installed to ensure your system is not infected by malware.
Optimize Startup Programs:
- Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager.
- Go to the Startup tab and disable unnecessary startup programs by right-clicking and selecting Disable.
Update Windows:
- Open Settings (Win + I).
- Go to Update & Security and click Check for updates. Install any available updates.
Disk Cleanup:

Defragment Your Hard Drive (if using HDD):
- Press Win + S and type Defragment and Optimize Drives.
- Select your main drive and click Optimize.
Uninstall Unnecessary Programs:
- Open Settings (Win + I).
- Go to Apps and review the list of installed apps. Uninstall any that you do not need.
Increase Virtual Memory:
- Press Win + R, type sysdm.cpl, and press Enter.
- Go to the Advanced tab and click Settings under Performance.
- Go to the Advanced tab again and click Change under Virtual memory.
- Uncheck Automatically manage paging file size for all drives.
- Select your drive, choose Custom size, and set the Initial size and Maximum size (recommend setting both to 1.5 times your RAM size).
Upgrade Hardware (if needed):
- Consider upgrading your RAM or replacing the HDD with an SSD for better performance.
After following these steps, your account should have administrator privileges, and your laptop's performance should improve.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
