Hi @Jay514

Welcome to the HP Forum.

Not much info is provided by HP on CTO PCs.

You would have to remove the side panel to check current HP PSU specs.

Your PC can do the following PSU upgrade options if you have the 180 watt power supply or 310 watt power supply.

HP 400 watt, part number L04618-800. Available at eBay.

HP 500 watt, part number L05757-800, Available at eBay.

Check this YouTube video for graphics card upgrade options using the HP 400 watt or 500 watt power supply. Look in "more" below the video for links to graphics card purchase options at Amazon.

Hi @Jay514

You should be able to do any graphics card upgrade listed in the YouTube video that works with the HP 400 watt power supply and fits in your PC's case.

Verify the HP 400 watt power supply has the single 6 +2 pin PCIe connector needed to power the card you are buying.

Download drivers needed for the new card. Then disconnect the PC from the network.

- Uninstall current graphics drivers.

- Check Device Manager in Control Panel to verify the PC is using the basic display adapter.

- Install the new graphics card.

- Install the new drivers for the card.

- Finally, connect to the network.

The only other potential issue which could happen is you may need to disable Secure Boot and enable Legacy support in the BIOS before you install the new graphics card. This may not be required now.

Check this HP Site for Secure Boot details. Look at "The computer does not boot after installing new hardware" found in frequently asked questions. Or look at "Secure boot settings for desktop computers" on how to do this if the PC will not boot after installing the new graphics card.
