It would help us help you if you told us what model number or product number of Pavilion you have.

Should be on a sticker on the case, or run the HP Support Assistant in Windows to find it.

Also, most systems only have one HDMI port on the graphics card and the other port(s) are DisplayPort which look similar but are not. You would need an adapter to run an HDMI cord to that. That might be what you have, but I wont know unless you tell us what the model number is.
