@old_geekster has a great buying guide for Pavilion PSU's, do a quick search on the community forum.

@GTXBlade , welcome to the Community.

The motherboard in your computer is HP proprietary. It has a 4-pin power connector instead of a standard 24-pin ATX power connector. You will have to buy any PSU upgrade from HP.  Here is a Power Supply Cross Reference Chart that will show you what is compatible with your motherboard: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Desktop-Knowledge-Base/Power-Supply-Cross-Reference-for-specific-model...

All of the 690 series motherboards have the same power connector.  The 500W (L05757-800) will definitely work for you.  You can order on HP PartSurfer by clicking the box next to "Add to Cart": https://partsurfer.hp.com/Search.aspx?searchText=L05757-800

I appreciate the credit for the great PSU Chart, @hwsense, but the work for it was done by wb2001.  He spent many hours gathering the information in it.

Here is a HP Knowledge Base article to help you with choosing a video card: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Gaming-Knowledge-Base/Upgrade-Video-Card/ta-p/7481981

The three main things to consider are: 1) the length of the card.  The article tells you how to measure the space to assure there is space for good airflow.  You can choose a card to get the measurements and make a template of it, 2) the wattage required to run the card properly and 3) does the card require any 1x6-pin, 1x8-pin or both PCIe power connectors.

Thank you very much for the help but can i order the psu you linked me because im not sure i can since there is no box i can click on unless i switch to us but im from sweden, does it make a difference if i switch the regions or can i just switch to us and order it to sweden?

@GTXBlade, I didn't know that you are in Sweden.  It shows in your thread that you are in the US.  You most likely won't be able to order it using HP PartSurfer for that reason.  I suggest that you contact HP Customer Support to see if they can help you locally.
