Hello,

almost a year ago I bought an OMEN 25L GT15-2800na and it’s been great but I’m looking to increase the amount of fans due to high ish temps. However, I cannot find any information anywhere for this specific model. All videos for adding and changing most fans on other 25L and 35L models don’t really work for this one as far as I can see.

For context if needed, it comes with the OMEN CPU liquid cooling and 3 fans (one at the top above the CPU, one top at the back and one bottom front). I’m currently thinking an extra fan flat at the bottom and upgrading the 2 side fans would likely be a good start.

If anyone knows of any videos or anything then please let me know otherwise I’ll try to have a play about and see what I can do.

Welcome to the HP Forum.

Maybe you can find some cooling upgrade options by watching this YouTube video.

Hi @Bill_To

Thanks for the reply. I am familiar with that video maybe too familiar at this point and it’s great. However, even though mine is a 25L it appears to be a bit different from all others I’ve seen including the one in the video. I’ve attached a pic of it below but for example there’s no space for another top fan. And even though my CPU is water cooled I’m still reaching temps of over 90 degrees C. For reference it’s a i7 14700kf.

Because of that video I went and bought 2 80mm noctua fans to go at the bottom. I know bigger Fans are better but they’re all that will fit because there’s already a front facing 120mm fan there.

But I’m not sure how much they’re going to help. Is there something in the bios or power setting I should change to help. I’ve been seeing a lot of people talking about that.

Also it’s a pre built because it was on a good deal so please don’t think I did the cable management.

Greetings @Cam199

My pleasure.

You have a 14700KF processor.

The 25L case has cooling limitations. You're pretty much limited to a 120 mm AIO CPU liquid cooler.

HP locks the BIOS down; so there is not much you can do in the BIOS.

I could only suggest trying a Windows> Power Options "Power Saver" power plan.

DanKamYouKnow eventually moved to a retail case/MB combo.
