@Deeksha2, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand your HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop is showing Caps Lock and Power button lights, but the screen remains blank, and the fan speed fluctuates. This behavior typically indicates a hardware-level issue, possibly related to BIOS, RAM, or display initialization. Let’s walk through some steps to help resolve this:

Perform a Hard Reset

This clears residual power and can fix many boot issues.

  • Turn off the laptop completely.
  • Disconnect the power adapter.
  • Press and hold the Power button for 15 seconds.
  • Reconnect the power adapter and try turning it on again.

Check for Blink Codes

If the Caps Lock light blinks in a pattern, it may indicate a specific hardware error (e.g., memory or CPU failure).

Try an External Display

To rule out a display issue:

  • Connect your laptop to an external monitor via HDMI.
  • Power on the laptop and check if the external screen shows anything.

Reseat or Replace RAM (if comfortable)

Loose or faulty RAM can prevent the system from booting.

  • Power off and unplug the laptop.
  • Open the back panel (if accessible).
  • Remove and reinsert the RAM sticks.
  • If you have two sticks, try booting with one at a time.

If you're not comfortable doing this, consider visiting an HP Authorized Service Center.

BIOS Recovery (if applicable)

Some HP laptops support BIOS recovery using a key combination.

  • Turn off the laptop.
  • Press and hold Windows + B, then press and hold the Power button for 2-3 seconds.
  • Release all keys and wait to see if the BIOS recovery screen appears.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
