OMEN by HP Obelisk Desktop 875-0014

Hello, I recently wanted to upgrade my storage so I bought the Samsung 970 EVO Plus 2TB SSD card. I took out the one that came with my pre-built Omen Obelisk PC and replaced it with the EVO card. I tried to turn on my computer but I got a black screen with a blue box that reads:

|Boot Device Not Found

Please install an operating system on your hard disk.

Hard Disk - (3F0)|

My 2 other hard drives passed the quick and extensive checks. When I check my 3rd hard drive (EVO Plus), it says:

|Long DST: WARNING|

Was I supposed to do something before I took out the original ssd? Should I take out the new one and try to put it back in more securely? Can I even switch out my ssd card?

I visited this page https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c06101701 because it contained my issue but I got stuck at Procedure 3 where it says: Navigate to the location indicated in the pictures below, based on the BIOS layout you see:

Configuration > UEFI HII Configuration > Intel(R) Rapid Storage Technology

I couldn't find the UEFI HII Configuration option under Configuration even after restarting my PC with the disabled legacy support.

Hi:

Did you try to install an operating system on the new drive you installed?

If not, you need to install an operating system as no drives come with Windows pre-installed.

Your PC is supported by the HP cloud recovery tool which you can use on another PC running W7 64 bit or newer, and a 32 GB USB flash drive that will create a bootable USB recovery drive that will reinstall W10, the drivers and the software that originally came with your notebook, or you can install the original drive with Windows on it that you removed to create the recovery media.

Here is an info link for how to use the utility:

HP Consumer PCs - Using the HP Cloud Recovery Tool in Windows 11 and 10 | HP® Customer Support

If you use another PC, after you install the tool, you will need to enter your PC's product number in the tool's search window to create the recovery media. Your notebook's product number is: 4NM65AA#ABA

Thank you! This has worked for me so far and I was able to progress past the error, but now I'm stuck at the File Backup page because the size of my backup is 600GB but my only available drive is this one in the photo. I have no other spaces to put any new drives in. I don't know what to do with this..

You're very welcome.

The recovery manager is trying to save the backup on the USB flash drive and not the 2 TB NVMe SSD.

I recommend you unplug the flash drive and see if the 2 TB drive shows up.

If not, unfortunately I wouldn't be able to help you with that problem.
