HP Pavilion 15.6 inch Gaming Laptop PC 15-ec2000 (2P6B2AV)

I’ve been facing an issue with my HP Pavilion 15ec2146ax where it sometimes won’t open, and the problem started about 10 months ago. I first took it to an HP repair center, and they suggested replacing the motherboard for a hefty 45k (which I wasn’t keen on). I then went to a local repair shop where they diagnosed a BIOS issue, updated it, and it worked fine for about a month. After that, the issue resurfaced. I returned to the HP center, and someone recommended disabling "Auto Update," which worked for around 8 months. However, the issue is back again – the laptop sometimes boots, and sometimes it doesn’t. It’s really becoming a headache. Does anyone know of a permanent fix for this intermittent problem?

Greetings @Abhishek000000

Welcome to the HP Forum.

Intermittent problems are tough to diagnose because they occasionally happen.

Have you ever backed up data and then reinstalled the operating system to see how it goes?

Check your PC's hardware using HP Diagnostics as follows:

Start the PC. Repeatedly tap the "ESC" key.

Select "F2". Run extensive system and component tests to confirm: a drive problem, a memory problem, or other component problem.

Possible hardware causes could be: the external power brick, a peripheral connected to the PC, an internal component connected to the MB, or the MB.

Regards
