Is it possible to overclock the cpu and / or gpu safely in my OMEN desktop?
08-05-2019 04:28 PM

Hello,
I own an HP OMEN 870-224 desktop with an Intel Core i5-7400 on an Odense2-K motherboard I am wondering if
1. the CPU is unlocked and overclockable?
2. what cooling/power supply upgrades I may need in case it is possible?
3. if it is all possible, what software would you recommend for me to use?

Greetings,
Welcome back to the forum.
I am not a HP employee.
Only Intel "k" processors are unlocked such as a i7-8700k processor.
HP does not usually provide BIOS overclocking even if you had a "k" processor.
Regards
