Is the EVGA Geforce 1050 Ti compatable?

The GTX 760 in my computer is awful. Its showing its age already. I have decieded to upgrade it to a 1050 Ti, though I wondering if this motherboard can handel the power draw.

The EVGA 1050 Ti does not have a 6 pin. It draws power completly through the motherboard, and I do not want the PCI-e slot to melt on me.

@Whovain, welcome to the forum.

The main thing that you have to determine is, will the card fit into the space provided for it?  You can do this by measuring from the Back I/O ports to the front of the case.  The power supply unit (PSU) is 600W.  Therefore, you will have plenty of power to run the card if it fits.

I will add (didnt see Geeksters reply yet),

You will be just fine as far as the 75 watt power draw is concerned via the PCIe 3 slot.

But you're not gaining much of anything as far as performance from a GTX 760 to 1050ti.

Maybe up to 10% tops.

I would save up and go for a 1060 instead. It will run fine with the i7 4770.
