Has HP ever decided to fix the upgrading ram issue with INTEL? If I had known I wouldn’t have bought it. Might return it and not even open it.

Hi,

Can't say this is fixed. An AMD system should allow memory tweaks using Ryzen Master.

Check this forum thread (Link) for a possible solution with an Intel MB.

This is an automatic response
in order to avoid writing the same thing each time

Some elements may therefore not apply to you
To be able to answer you effectively, we need some information

we need the exact model of your computer, and the product number
To find it follow this
for a desktop computer

HP Desktop PCs - How Do I Find My Model Number or Product Number? | HP® Customer Support
and for a laptop
HP Notebook PCs - How Do I Find My Product Name or Number? | HP® Customer Support

Give the full name with the product number P / N

this is not a model:
HP Desktop M01-F1xxx
the requested product number must look like this
Product Number: 9EE50AA # ABA
the model corresponding to this number will therefore be
HP Desktop - M01-F1033wb

Hi,

It looks like @s07H has an Intel motherboard.

I would hope using an older version of Intel XTU to tweak memory would work when installing retail memory on any Intel 30L motherboard.

Or HP provides a BIOS update for the motherboard SSID applicable to @s07H 's PC that allows XMP memory profiles when using retail memory that is compatible with this motherboard.

Without an exact model, we can only make assumptions

Solved: Re: Overclocking RAM in the BIOS - HP Support Community - 8166347

kind of why I asked for clarification here

As in fact here, we have seen that it will depend on the motherboard

If not, then, no hp hasn't done anything yet, and we cannot know for them

Hi,

You are correct. I am assuming @s07H has an Intel MB because, look at the Subject, " Re: Just bout an intel based 30L… Any ram upgrading solution?

I dont have mine yet but sources say newer bios allows XMP RAM changes/upgrades.

Yes, @whatsITtoyou except that it is depending on the motherboard for the moment
And it would only be with OC type model of the motherboard
What is mentioned in the link above
I haven't crossed paths yet, someone with a no -OC motherboard, who was able to do so, without third-party tools!

Im not sure what the OC board is. Mine will be Intel and thats what some report the new bios fixes.  I hope its only some Intel boards.  I would love to check mine, it was supposed to arrive tomorrow but status dosn't show shipped yet so I better not hold my breath.

read !

 Motherboard Specifications, DoradoOC-AMP

  • HP name: DoradoOC-AMP

  • SSID: 8703

This package provides an update to the HP Consumer Desktop PC BIOS (ROM Family 8703)

Adds Non-HP memory OC support page under BIOS setup menu.

so at the moment i don't know if this is applied to all motherboards ..

Some speak faster than they should

And we quickly make a generality
Well after that to can be changed, since then I want to, but not yet seen this here
