Im looking to get a new GPU what do I need to look for to make sure it will work with my pc. Like wattage and stuff. Also please recommend some good GPUs for gaming that are somewhat inexpensive. Thanks

Your PC's specs are Here.
You have a 3700X, a 2060, 8 GBs of 3200 memory, and a 500 watt power supply.
That is a very nice rig. 16 GBs of memory is recommended for a better gaming experience.
Are you having problems running the games you play now?
Upgrading the 2060 will not be inexpensive given the price of graphics card upgrades and availability. Check this Site for a 3060 to 2060 comparison.
Tough to answer your question at this time.

My GPU is starting to fail that is why im looking to buy a new one. Every intensive game I play the screen just goes black and says no signal. I have tried every troubleshooting step I have found online and have basically determined my card is dying. So I was looking to go team AMD since I haven't had a good experience with my Nvidia card

Thanks for additional info.
The 2060 could be failing or it could be a different component problem. Possible causes could also be the power supply, MB power delivery problem, RAM, or the CPU or the 2060 is over heating.
You could buy a new card only to see this problem continue.
A quick way to check to verify your diagnosis would be to install the 2060 in a different, known good, PC. Update graphics drivers. Run games to check stability.
I would contact HP Support if in warranty. Or have a local PC tech isolate the problem component before buying a new graphics card.
An AMD RX 6600-XT is similar in performance to the 2060. the 6600 requires a 500 watt PSU and one eight pin PSU connection.
