I have an omen desktop that is for gaming  do I need to add any apps or accessories  or anything to make it a better gaming experience

@Drewy , welcome to the forum.

 

The first thing that you should do is update all of the drivers.  This will assure the computer is performing at its peak capability.  Also, I would install the OMEN Command Center SDK Package found here.  It is supposed to allow you to overclock your processor.  This will give you better performance in games.  Do these things and you should be fine.
