Wanting to now if my motherboard can be extracted to another case or if it needs to be replaced. This all stems from me looking to upgrade my GFX Card (1050 Ti), which would most likely require a PSU that is larger than the 500w proprietary option that is available to me. Thus, looking into the option of upgrading the case to fit in an aftermarket PSU that would support a higher end GFX card. See image of specs attached...

@egw2489,

Regardless of a case conversion, you can not adapt the motherboard to accept an ATX PSU. Do you have the knowledge needed to re-wire the power switch of a new case?  HP has a non-standard wiring scheme. BOOM.  Can you create a backplane to mate with the motherboard?   Think machine shop.

Your computer will only accept the HP proprietary PSU. The 2x2 motherboard power plugs do not have an adapter kit.

You were told this in a previous posting., in a different sub-forum. There is no hack that will fix this issue.

Its motherboard use standard Form factor: ATX, 36.45 x 24.88 cm (15.35 x 9.79 in) therefore it should physical fit to all standard ATX cases.

Banhien,

Thank you for your speedy reply, great news about ATX form factor. I do have another question, will the motherboard support an after market PSU? Looking to get a PSU that is 650w, specifically the following:

CORSAIR TX-M Series TX650M CP-9020132-NA 650W ATX12V v2.4 / EPS 2.92 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Semi-Modular Active PFC Power Supply
