HP Omen Desktop
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

If my PC goes to sleep, no keyboard or power button press or mouse click makes it wake up. The only way is to hold power button for 10 seconds for a cold reboot. I'm constantly losing my work. I tried to turn it off via powercfg -h off in CMD but it says "Unable To Perform Function". The Omen BIOS is very limited with a few settings only (not good HP).

Search for Power & Sleep settings and change it from there:

I have High Performance plan applied, any sleep-related settings turned off (including all sorts of timeouts etc. - all defaulted to max.) and left only hibernation in there (which, I do not believe kicked in anytime before at all). And no such problem.

Thanks for the tip but I've already done this as a workaround a while back.  But now I'm stuck with a PC that never can sleep or hibernate.  Is the Windows standard sleep function that's been around for over 15 years not available on this supposed high performance gaming PC? I would like someone from HP to confirm that sleep or hibernation is unavailable for this Omen desktop PC please.

You will need to speak to Support about it - and I sincerely wish you good luck!
