Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

I replaced the PSU once 2 years ago and it worked fine, then again this month, and the issue persisted. It over heats and has the beeping indicating other issues. Plz help

Welcome to the HP Forum.

 

It's tough to assist without a HP Product number. Do you have a Desktop PC? A HP Laptop would require a complete disassembly to clean stuff, replace fans, or reapply CPU, thermal interface material (TIM).

 

You have indicated the PC  beeps 4 times fast and 3 times slow when booted.

 

This HP Site lists common BIOS POST error codes. One error code listed is four long and three short beeps. The opposite of the error code you are hearing.

 

The 4 long-3 short POST error code indicates a thermal problem:

 

- A failing fan (CPU or chassis)

 

- Dust and excessive grime buildup: this condition could impede case airflow, lead to MB shorts, or greatly reduce CPU fan/heatsink efficacy.

 

- The CPU may also need a new application of TIM.
