I install BIOS and then my drive was delete but I don't know about that so I request to recover my drive (data) as I use before and I don't want that update(BIOS).

Hi @Arjun2829,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To recover your data and revert the BIOS update on your HP 15s, follow these steps.

Reverting the BIOS Update

Download the Previous BIOS Version:

  • Visit the HP support website and find the previous version of the BIOS for your HP 15s.
  • Download the BIOS file.

Create a BIOS Recovery USB Drive:

  • Format a USB drive to FAT32.
  • Copy the BIOS file to the USB drive.

Enter BIOS Recovery Mode:

  • Insert the USB drive into your HP 15s.
  • Turn off the laptop.
  • Power on the laptop and immediately start pressing the Esc key repeatedly until the Startup Menu opens.
  • Press F2 to open the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI.
  • Select “Firmware Management” or “BIOS Management.”
  • Choose the option to update or rollback the BIOS.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to select the BIOS file from the USB drive and revert to the previous version.

Note:

  • Regular Backups: Ensure you regularly back up your data to an external drive or cloud storage to prevent data loss in the future.
  • Research Before Updates: Always read the release notes and ensure you understand the implications before applying BIOS updates.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
