Hi @Ahmudas,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you're having trouble updating your HP Pavilion Gaming Desktop PC for playing Sea of Thieves, particularly with updating your graphics card, here are some steps you can take:

1. Check System Requirements

Ensure that your PC meets the minimum system requirements for Sea of Thieves. This includes both hardware specifications (such as CPU, GPU, RAM, and storage) and software requirements (such as operating system version and DirectX version).

2. Update Windows

Make sure your Windows operating system is up to date. Sometimes, game updates and certain features require the latest Windows updates to function properly. To update Windows:

  • Open Settings by pressing Windows key + I.
  • Go to Update & Security > Windows Update.
  • Click on "Check for updates" and install any available updates.

3. Update Graphics Card Drivers

Ensure that your graphics card drivers are up to date. You can do this through the HP Support Assistant or by directly visiting the website of your graphics card manufacturer (such as NVIDIA, AMD, or Intel) and downloading the latest drivers for your specific GPU model.

4. Perform a Clean Install of Graphics Drivers

If updating the graphics card drivers through HP Support Assistant didn't work, consider performing a clean install of the drivers. Here's how:

  • Uninstall the existing graphics drivers using the Device Manager.
  • Download the latest drivers from the manufacturer's website.
  • Install the downloaded drivers, following the on-screen instructions.
  • Reboot your PC and try launching Sea of Thieves again.

5. Check for HP Support Assistant Updates

Make sure the HP Support Assistant itself is up to date. Sometimes, updates to the HP Support Assistant software can provide better compatibility and functionality for managing your system updates and drivers.

6. Check for Game Updates

Ensure that Sea of Thieves itself is up to date. Steam, the Microsoft Store, or the game launcher may have pending updates for the game that need to be installed before you can play.

7. Verify Game Files

If Sea of Thieves is installed through a platform like Steam or the Microsoft Store, you can verify the integrity of the game files. This will ensure that any corrupt or missing files are repaired or replaced.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
