Hello, I really need help! Right now i have a Omen Obelisk 875-0510ng, with the specs 'GTX 1080, 2x16 RAM, i7-9700k, 750W Platinum PSU' I am upgrading my desktop with newer and stronger specs. 'RTX 3070 TI, 2x32 RAM, i7-13700k' My motherboard I am using being the 'Edoras, SSID: 84FD' Does not support the i7-13700k and the new RAM. So I want to upgrade my motherboard. What motherboard can i upgrade with. I want it to be good 😉
I have been looking at two motherboards and was also wondering if I can upgrade to them or if there are any better.
Those being:

Hi
I can only offer suggestions given the hardware you have and components you want to upgrade.
Both motherboards, micro ATX Gigabyte or Asrock, you are looking at should work with the HP chassis. You might have a RGB problem with the front panel logo as HP may be using proprietary connections.
The 3070 Ti requires two 8 pin power supply connections to a 12 pin graphics card connector. The 750 watt PSU in your possession should have this. Verify. This 12 pin connection needs space. You may have a problem securing the side panel to the chassis.
One issue is the 13700 CPU can run hot. I think you would need at least a 240 MM AIO liquid cooled solution to control CPU temps. I don't think you can do a 240 MM radiator in this HP chassis.
A different, possible issue, is how close the 3070 Ti is to the PSU which could cause airflow problems and heat.
B660 supports memory XMP profiles. The next step up is to look at the Z chipset. The Z motherboards are more expensive but you get more connections for fans and RGB, better Audio Codecs, and better power delivery for overclocking.
