HP Recommended

Motherboard is now bricked because of bios update 😡. I dont want to buy another motherboard, its only two years old.  Cannot find exact chip online. MXIC MX 25U12873F M2I-10G 8E553800 L182500 is on the chip. Or how to find a compatible chip. I have capability to change the chip myself. Can anyone help me find one????

@fraggler2 , welcome to the forum.

I know how frustrating it is to have a BIOS flash fail.  Here is a guide that may help you solve your problem:  https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-pavilion-gaming-690-0000-pc-series/19769765/model/22909853/d...

Since HP doesn't supply BIOS chips, I have tried to locate one without any success.  You may want to contact the BIOS chip makers Tech Support to see if they can help you, if the guide doesn't help.

It's  non responsive. Took it to repair yesterday for opinion. Was told it needs a new motherboard. Just going to start over and build our own. Waste of $600. Live and learn I guess, just really bad timing.
