Greetings Shigaraja,

Welcome to the forum.

I am not an HP employee.

Please provide your PC's product number for better assistance.

Check all front panel ports to see which port or combo port is not working. It could be a WIFI antenna. But based on your description it is probably a USB connector.

Most PCs have the following front/top panel ports available for use:

USB 2.0

USB 3.0, possible USB 3.1 type C port(s)

Multi card USB 2.0 reader

Power switch

Power LED

HDD activity LED

Examine the front panel cable. Now check the motherboard (MB) for a matching set of pinouts.

Front panel connections are usually located along the bottom of the MB. USB 3.0 connections are usually located in close proximity to the 24 pin power supply connection on the MB.

HP inverts the MB in many cases. So the connections may be located along the top or left side of the MB.

Tom
