@AlexArcherPKFR, welcome to HP Forums, this is a great place to get support, find answers and tips.

Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you out.

I understand that your OMEN by HP Desktop PC - 870-126na does not detect the monitor when connected by HDMI cable.

Don't worry as I have a few steps that should help fix this issue.

This issue has occurred because the normal HDMI port gets disabled when the graphics card is installed.

Hence, you need to connect the HDMI cable to the Graphics card port on the desktop PC which is next to the port that you have connected.

Let me know how that works.

I hope you have a good day ahead.

Thank you for the response. The problem was exactly as you stated and the HDMI cable I was using was faulty. New HDMI cable and connected into the correct HDMI (Graphics card port) fixed the problem.

I have a similar problem, except I want to connect a secondary to my hp omen. In all, the desktop has 3 hdmi ports, a single one in the middle of the panel that works, and two more on the bottom right side labelled hdmi 1 and hdmi 2, which none of them work. Restarting the computer doesn't change anything. Only one of three hdmi ports work.

I am also trying to connect a second screen to a omen. How Do I do this?

I actually researched about the GeForce GTX 1060 3gb, and apparently it has 3 working DisplayPorts and a single DVI port too. I think the only way to display (if you're already using an hdmi) is to get a DisplayPort cable and connect that. (ctrl+F for hdmi)

So it has 1 hdmi, 3 DisplayPorts, and 1 DVI supported on the 1060. DisplayPort is the one slightly bigger than HDMI and it's like a rectangle with one corner cut off. You'll have to buy the cord from Display to HDMI if you don't have one already, or just use DVI, your choice.
