I have just purchased the Omen 880-001na and cannot get it to work with my monitor. I am using HDMI and know that both the monitor and cable are working (when connected to my laptop, all works, but when connected to the Omen I get “No Signal”.
I am using the HDMI slot at the top left of the back of the computer (third from top), and have tried both HDMI slots in the monitor.
Any help/suggestions ?

Hi
You may be plugging into an HDMI port dedicated to onboard video.
Look for an HDMI port at the lower end of the back chassis which connects to a discrete graphics card attached to a PCIe x16 slot on the motherboard.

Yes, this did the trick. I assumed that the slot HP marks "HDMI" is the right slot for the HDMI cable... I was wrong.
Yes, there are four slots lying towards the bottom, one of which works.
Many thanks
