OMEN 30L Desktop - GT13-0255st CTO
Microsoft Windows 11

I have an OMEN 30L GT13-0255st running Windows 11 and BIOS version F.23 that I and have been attempting to upgrade my RAM 64GB using two kits of HyperX  HX432C16FB4AK2/32 (a kit of two 2G x 64-bit (16GB) DDR4-3200 CL16 SDRAM (Synchronous DRAM) 1Rx8, memory module, based on eight 2G x 8-bit FBGA components per module. Each module kit supports Intel® Extreme Memory Profiles (Intel® XMP) 2.0

When I enter the BIOS and select either of the XMP profiles (1 or 2) and save them, I am unable to successfully reboot the machine (beeping noises) until I change the memory back to the default profile, which only produces a memory speed of 2,400MHz, which is slower than what the HyperX Fury is capable of. Is this memory not compatible/not supported, and if so, is there any advise on what 64GB kit that I can buy that is compatible and will run at 3,200MHz?

@twwash,

Welcome to our HP User Forum!

HP computers are finnicky when it comes to RAM and achieving max RAM speeds.

Your OMEN 30L GT13-0255st with DoradoOC motherboard (SSID: 8703) -please confirm, seems to be particularly exclusive: almost 100% of all the RAM reaching 3200 MHz here: UserBenchmark: HP OMEN 30L Desktop GT13-0xxx Compatible Components was achieved by HP branded Kingston RAM:

Kingston HP32D4U8S8ME-8XR 8GB
Kingston HP32D4U8D8HD-16XR 16GB
Kingston HP37D4U1S8ME-16XR 16GB

Only this non-HP branded RAM achieved 3200 MHz: Kingston KF3200C16D4/16GX 16GB.

And last but not least, this RAM: Corsair CMK16GX4M2B3000C15 Vengeance LPX DDR4 3000 C15 2x8GB was clocked @ 3000 MHz.

There may very well be alternative RAM that would be able to run at 3200 MHz on your desktop, I'm just not seeing it online.

Hope this was helpful.

Kind Regards,
