Hi!

Got my OMEN 30L today ... I have a M2-stick with valuable information on it. But I cant find a slot to put it in! There are TWO visible slots named SSD1 and SSD2 .... Isn't there a third?

The MicroATX form factor board HP uses only has room for 2 M.2 slots.

Also only one PCIe slot that the graphics card takes, so you couldn't add an adapter board.

You would need a different motherboard for what you are trying to do.

Hi,

 

Adding to @Photoray002 , only one M.2 socket on your MB accepts M.2 storage devices.

 

You can buy a M.2 to USB 3.x adapter if you want to move the data from the spare M.2 drive to the PC via USB.

 

Amazon or Newegg can help. Make sure you get the correct adapter based upon the M.2 drive you have (SATA vs NVME).

You might of been thinking of an older Omen version.
