OMEN Laptop 15z

Hello all!

I bought my OMEN laptop about 6 or 7 months ago and it's a fine computer. However, lately it's been giving me some trouble. About two weeks ago, I noticed my steam games began to lag a lot. Like, to the point of being unplayable. My main game is Warhammer 2, which requires a lot to run, so if it was running less demanding games poorly then Warhammer was completely out of the question. Took it to Geek Squad, and they had the computer fixed the next day. They told me there was Malware on the computer, which had been removed, and they installed webroot in order to prevent addition malware attacks.

That was a little over two weeks ago. Now, I'm sitting here with the same problem back on my computer. Same symptoms and everything. It lags, both in and out of steam, and even the audio of videos lags and makes everything sound robotic and distorted. It isn't as bad as it was the first time and it's only just noticeable when I browse normally, but I don't want it to progress to worse state. Hit up Geek Squad again, this time over chat because I really didn't want to drive all the way out to a store. I'm in university, so I need computer access, you see. Two people scanned the computer remotely, told me there were no viruses or any other malware, and that there was only junk slowing the computer down. Well, several more scans and clutter clearing later and the issue still isn't solved.

I took the liberty of downloading Malware Bites and Avast, both the cleaner and driver updated. All the drives on my computer have been updated. The steam client is updated. The computer is completely tuned up and my security problems shoud've caught whatever issue there was. I just don't see what else the problem could be and I'm afraid I'll have to drive all the way back up to Greek Squad again in a day or two.

Does anyone know what else I could do or what I've missed? My computer is on High Performance mode, if anyone is wondering.

Hello
firstly, I don't know about this service.
but if they charged you a certain amount of money, and they suppressed you supposedly serious things, see maybe in the end that should not be, and that the result is zero.
I advise you to stop with these people, they should even reimburse you if they did not fix the problem.

Maybe more information is needed for your problem.
