OMEN X 25f monitor very dark screen. Can only very faintly see what is on screen

Just turned on my OMEN desktop System model 875-0084 with OMEN X 25f monitor and I at first thought the screen was black. After looking closer I can only very faintly. I need to shine a flashlight at the screen to sort of see it. Could this be a backlighting failure? Is there a way to repair? This was bought December 2019 and I didn't buy extended warranty. Any help appreciated..

I appreciate your efforts to try and resolve the issue, and in order to fix this issue,  your computer needs to be serviced.  As we have limited support boundaries in the support community as of now,

As this is a hardware issue, I'd suggest youContact HPin your region regarding the service options for your computer. 

If you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty.
