Are NVMe SSD's compatible with omen 17-w200 series ?

Gotcha.

 

I missed that on the specs.

 

Basically you want to swap out the 128 GB SATA M.2 drive for a NVMe drive.

 

Shouldn't be any problem at all.

You should be able to but...

 

Here is the issue with the notebooks that come with a 2.5" drive only...the operating system is on that drive naturally, and when you add a NVMe SSD, the PC still wants to boot from the primary drive which is the 2.5" one.

 

Many times you have to remove the OS from the 2.5" drive so the PC boots from the NVMe drive.

My OS is on the M.2 so this shouldn't be a problem...
The 2.5 HDD is only for storage
